This novel was action packed, and a fast read. The pacing in Users, was perfect, giving the reader time to take a breath between the intense scenes. It has been a while since I've read a book, that I couldn't put down. The Buck writing duo are a winning pair and have produced an extrodinary view into the inner workings of an addicts mind, and his growth, inspite of his addiction, as a man.The main character, Carter, is a recovering addict with a special power. We see him struggle with both his addictive personality and his special power, until, with the help of individuals in similar circumstances, he comes to grips with the hand that life has dealt him. As the story begins, we see a character that is not always easy to like, but he doesn't really like himself. Through the different difficult situations he has to constantly deal with, I couldn't help but root for him. And as a reader, I was overjoyed, the authors did not disappoint in the end. I'm definitely a fan an I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series. Great read!

Users My Angels Have Demons Book 1 (Audible Audio Edition) Stacy Buck Jennifer Buck Rich Camillucci Prime Evil Publishing Books Reviews
This is a great story. I enjoyed the powers and how they develop. This source of super power is not used very often so was refreshing.
It is still a superhero novel and I felt many of the plot twists were predictable.
I do suggest reading more by the author. This is the first book. The story can only get better as the author gains more experience.
As a super hero fan, I really enjoyed this alternate universe with these people with powers. Carter was believable as a character. I just wish it was longer and went into more details about Carters history with the All Americans and how Alaric found out about Fox and why he felt he needed vengeance on Carter.
This is the superhero book I've been looking for. Great story and writing. I loved the edgy and un-glossy feel of the characters. Looking forward to more.
Absolutely love this quirky series. The combination super hero and the drug stuff (as a former addict) just gave it a new twist. I read a lot and so much is same old same old so this was refreshing. And I usually just go for free books but I have bought some in the series since they were so good.
This is the book that made me a fan. I actually read this via Audible, but decided to post here as well. I've read a lot of fantasy fiction, including a lot that is set in modern day. I think what makes this stand out is that it's not a bunch of super heroes. Sure they have powers, but they are flawed. Very flawed (expect curse words and narcotics meetings). I also enjoyed the pacing of the novel. It moves fairly quick. I remember being amazed how much of the book I still had left. I was sure it was going to wrap up quickly with how fast it was moving.
It's a fantastic read and I cannot recommend it enough.
Great book. Good events, agreeable characters, nice super powers. Good to see a hero that a real human past, not somebody who is squeaky clean.
I did take off one star. Two things. One, I felt like the main character didn't have enough thoughts. Two, sometimes the narrator stopped, and explained things to the reader. Both of these problems don't reflect negatively on the book, they are solely my personal preference.
Novel fantasy book where those with powers are battling their own problems with addictions making them all the more human. Fast-paced tho grisly at times it still made for an entertaining read and actually had a redeeming message for those having addictions themselves that I liked it for. Very good book overall and I would recommend!
